It would be great if we could generate an icon for a keyword from a photo associated with it.

I think of a dialog which shows me all photos I assigned this keyword, I choose one of them, and then draw a little rectangle in the photo to cut out an icon I want to use for this keyword.

This whould be very usefull especially for people (like me) who use keywords to identify persons on their photos.

I like it, this is the way I create icons for kaddressbook contacts.

At least I would love to be able to select a portion of an image, right now the whole image is used. So most of the time you need to find an image where only this person is seen and where not too much background is visible, otherwise you get album / tag thumbnails you hardly can recognize.

So when assigning an photo to be the tag or album thumbnail, a little window could pop up, in where you drag a rectangle around the person's face to generate a icon from.
