I think you hit a bug that I described here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119442#c4 I'll try to add some check so Kopete won't delete users from server side list if the group isn't empty. This bug will be fixed properly in Kopete 1.0 where we will abort the rename operation if it fails. *** Bug 191528 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I think i solved the problem by using pidgin to download the buddylist from gadu-gadu protocol, delete the group, then reupload it to server.
