Version:           1.2.3 (using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.4" , openSUSE 10.2)
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.3-default

When an E-Mail is received with an HTML attachment it will schow all Pictures and HTML views when HTML view and download of external references is disabled.

When the functions are activated, it will not schow the HTML view and external references in the attached HTML E-Mail.

It seems like the settings for attached HTML Messages are backwards.

This works correctly for me.
Can you try a newer KMail version (1.9.7)?
What setting are you using exactly? The one in Folder->Prefer HTML to Plain Text ?

This works for me, and I didn't get a response.
