I guess it is because they are not accurate enough. For KTouch in KDE4 you need to port existing keyboard files using the File menu => Edit Keyboard layout... and use this dialog to make an accurate layout from the old ru.basic.keyboard file which can be found here: http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/KDE/kdeedu/ktouch/keyboards/ru.basic.keyboard?revision=546862 or the ru.keyboard file http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/KDE/kdeedu/ktouch/keyboards/ru.keyboard?revision=546862 I would suggest you contact the Russian translation team maybe to remind them to do so (I already sent a mail some time ago about those keyboard files but got few feedback). It would be great if the Russian layout is in KDE 4 but I am not qualified to port it. Thanks in advance Anne-Marie ru.keyboard.xml and ru-winkeys.keyboard.xml are installed in kde >= 4.6.2 We don't have no Makefile.am anymore and the two Russian layouts we have now are installed. Ok.
