Description Erunno 2007-05-30 17:50:17 UTC
Version: 1.9.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When trying to connect to my IMAP account provided by web.de the authentification always fails.

My password contains special characters including german umlauts so I changed it temporarily to pure ASCII. After that I could log into my email account. Besides german umlauts I also use the characters '*' and '!' in said password.

The problem is limited to KMail (and curiously enough, Evolution) as it works flawlessly with both Thunderbird 2 and Opera M2 9.21.

With best regards
Erunno
