i use kernel 2.6.21 with libata, pata_amd (MCP55) driver.

i don't know if it is the k3b or kernel bug, but k3b hangs (other application are ok).
when i run k3b without inserted disk all are ok, but after insert (or when i run k3b with already inserted disk) k3b totaly hungs system (only reset help). When i put some type of media in drive eg DVD-ROM, CD-R k3b works fine, but with DVD-R, DVD+R hungs :(

I try trace this bug and i determine that funktion transport from k3bscsicommand_linux.cpp cause this crash.

There is workaround or fix to them ?

I can confirm bug on my Gentoo ~amd64, k3b 1.0.2
Configuration like above.
I have /dev/sr0 for /dev/{cdrom|cdrw|dvd|dvdrw} and /dev/sg0 (for cdparanoia)
hdd and dvdrw drives both IDE.

kernel 2.6.22-rc7 seems fix this.

Closing as invalid because it seems to have been a kernel bug.
