Version:           0.12.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources

When changing the status, often I'm just making a slight change to the previous status message. Hence, it would be better for the new status text box to contain the previous status message (with the standard clear line button to the left of the text box).

My patch of the first part of the request is attached below.

This seems fixed in KDE SC 4.6.1, closing the bug. Reopen if you think it is still valid.
