Version:           2.1 Cruiser (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Sometimes the package description does not match the package shown. It already happened to me sometimes but this time I searched for "ktorrent". I've also seeen cases were no description is shown. Using "dpkg -s" shows that the packages has a description.

Most likely a bug that has been fixed in Adept 3.0 alphas (this shouldn't reappear, as the underlying design is now fairly different and shouldn't be susceptible to this kind of problem anymore).
