For a selected mail, the content in the mail body can be highlighted and made into a task in KOrganizer with an option allowing to add the mail addresses (To: and Cc: fields) as attendees as well as adding them to the address book. Additionally, the $SUBJECT can be optionally be made into an event summary.

Elaborating on this as an example. Say a mail with $SUBJECT: Meeting for lunch and project discussion has the content "Meet Sankarshan at 1330 for lunch and subtasking of Project". Thus, I should be able to select the content and right click to add to KOrganizer as a task with the Event Summary being optionally picked up from the $SUBJECT and From: being added as an attendee.

This can already done by dragging the mail over the organizer icon in Kontact. However, attendees are not added.

It would be awesome to have the attendees to be added - any thoughts on this ?

seems like a good idea to add the attendees.

not sure when this will be implemented however.
