I agree with you. In fact, when I tested Digikam pre 0.9.1 SVN versions, I saw that feature altough it was removed. By the way I think Metadata edit is a KIPI Plugin and the real bug report should be the 144858 one. In any case, as I said, I agree with you: this feature is a must. Sorry, I wanted to say pre 0.9.0 SVN versions (obviously with KIPI Plugins pre 0.1.3 SVN version) even better: my wishlist-item would be to do in-line editing of metadata (on the right hand panel) without having to go to the extra dialog. this should work for one or several images at a time. Same for me, I would really like to see such feature !
