Description Roland Eggner 2007-04-27 21:22:26 UTC
Version: 3.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Debian Package 4:3.5.6.r1.dfsg.1-2 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.5roland2

I have been using "Schedule+" out of Win95 for some years because:
- Worked unusually reliably, compared to experience with other products of the same lable, as long as I kept size of calendar file below 500kB.
- Provided only the features I needed and NOT MORE.

Changed to korganizer some weeks ago, and want to tell the most remarkable differences in usability I experience:
- In event view I miss painfully keybindings for movement, "Settings - Configure Shortcuts .." provides only three movement commands, I will append my wishes to bug 132046.
- Event templates management is really GREAT ;)))))) Usage of templates makes adding new events unbelievable fast, especially if "Settings - Configure.. - View - Time range selection in agenda view starts event editor" is enabled. Many thanks to the developers!! With the hints in dialog preface, usage was easy to learn for me.

Even very good things can be improved!
In case of dialog "Manage Templates" my wishes are:

- If IN AGENDA VIEW a FILTER is selected, it should also be APPLIED TO TEMPLATES LIST in dialog "Manage Templates", and this should show up in dialog window title, as already in agenda view window title.

- Maybe that some users want templates list kept in the sequence of creating them. For me it would be useful, if the TEMPLATES LIST would be SORTED by name. By proper naming I could group the templates. For the meantime my workaround is to sort the entries by manually editing file .kde/share/config/korganizerrc, entry EventTemplates.

- An alternativ I can imagin, even more advanced, a command to sort by first categorie selected in each template.

- A possibility to set focus to templates list field BY KEYBOARD, an access key, would be useful.

Thank you taking care!
