It would be nice to have a button (or perhaps preference) that allows you to set a status and choose a status message to set with that status.

For example:

Set status "Online" -> brings up the status message dialog -> choose status message or type a new one.

This is unfortunately exactly the opposite of bug 117288, and more like the current behavior of the individual accounts.  I think a button that could be put in the toolbar that would apply to all accounts for "set status and message" would appease both camps.

This has been implemented in Kopete 4.x. Closing this bug.
