Description jappel 2007-04-21 11:53:14 UTC
Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.6 "release 64.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.21-rc6-git4-2-default

On my laptop screen i have a total resolution of 1280x768 pixels. With this screen size it unfortunately is impossible to see the whole digiKam window at once. Is there any reason why the minimum window size of the main window has to be taller than standard VGA resolution (1024x768)? Or is this just caused by the much too long tab "Kommentare/Stichworte" (it should be 'Stichwörter' anyway) my german version?

Jappel,

Yes, "Kommentare/Stichworte" et the German translation of "Comments & Tags" strings. I have the same problem on my laptop with French translations.

I propose to rename "Comments & Tags" to "Tags" for example.

Fabien, Marcel, Luka, Oliver, Gerhard, etc... what do you think about ?

I would agree (also as plural for Comments is also not correct as there is only one comment field), but it may not be obvious for the user where to find the comment field then. It could be in Properties or Metadata and Tags would be probably not very intuitive to expect comment there...

Also note that "Tag Filters" will probably be changed to only "Filters" when bug 131963 is implemented.

Patch provided by Gilles and applied to SVN by Gerhard:
