This is a nogo imo, since the action launches the configuration dialog of the editor component, not the one of kwrite (which has so few options that they are all represented in the menu - 1?) > "Choose Editor" must be removed, since that is only valid for the KatePart

I think that is not valid - KWrite embeds a KDE text editor component, and the KatePart is just *one* implementation of KDE text editor. (For example, another one was Roberto Raggi's QEditor.)
Furthermore, this setting fine tunes the text editor component to be used *specifically* in KWrite, not in eg Kate, etc.
Thus, the Configure Editor action must be left as well, as it configures the editor for KWrite you can choose with the Choose Editor action.
This bug is still valid on KDE 4, I agree to change the string to "configure kwrite" It will stay like it is. Choose Editor is away, as only one component is there anyway, but "Configure Editor" makes sense. |
