When KDE starts and Konsole is opened too soon, the US keymap active for a while then a bit later the international keymap is activated. I have "suffered" delays of about 20-30 seconds, usually when Konsole is openened automatically when restoring a saved session. To fix this, the keymap should be activated at a very early stage of KDE "booting".

Uh, bad spelling. Where it says "the US keymap active" it should read "the US keymap remains active"

Is this a Konsole specific problem or does it affect other KDE applications?
