Can you please install the debug packages for kdepim and kdelibs to get a better backtrace? And I can not reproduce the problem with the steps you provided. Hi Thomas McGuire, kdelibs has already been installed; I installed kdepim-dbg (hoping it is the right package??) Still can reproduce the crash; the output of the crash-handler is still the same, so do you need any other infos. By the way: I think "system tray icon" was the wrong word; it's the kmail notifier (hope this matches), which shows, if there are new mails. icyfeet Am Mittwoch, 11.
