Why? This can be easily done, but please provide a reason. For me the right pane has its own border which clearly divides it from the filter list I know it has a border, but it is fixed. User cannot increase the size of the screen on demand, thus entire size of the window is also limited. The only way to make it bigger is to resize the pane (of course this causes the other one is shrinked, but at least you can see comfortable what you are working on, currently). The dynamic panes should be a standard in KDE in such dialogs. Juniors, come on! Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
