I have the bookmark toolbar enabled in konqueror and it always starts with the bookmark toolbar visible. But when I open new tabs in konqueror (new empty tabs or through middle mouseclick) the bookmark toolbar vanishes. Not with every tab I open but quite often. I make it visible again, a little later it is gone again. I tried counting the tabs I open until the toolbar vanishes but it doesn't seem to be of use.

I have the opposite problem: I have the bookmark toolbar disabled, because I'm using SiteBar in a sidebar (server side bookmarks). But whenever I switch to another tab, the bookmark toolbar appears, although I didn't ask for it.

I submitted a bug - Bug 145129.
