Description sheeettin 2007-04-06 01:13:39 UTC
Version: 1.4.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

If I hit the "Fill in tags using MusicBrainz" button in the tag editor when the libtunepimp3-mp3 package isn't installed (on an MP3 file), Amarok consumes the CPU cycles of one processor without producing an error message. (KDE System Guard shows usage is about 60/40 "user"/"sys".)

The package also wasn't brought down automatically, I had to get it manually.
(Now it can't contact the server, but that's a separate problem.)

Not an Amarok bug. That's a bug in tunepimp.
To be fair, it's also a bug in your distro. They should have been more careful about how applications would behave when they decide to just remove something that was never planned to be removed.
Anyway, even if we wanted to fix this, we can't.
