Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
OS:                Linux

Whenever I start up Kontact (or Kate) for the first time in a session, KWin crashes. Kontact doesn't crash, but KWin does. After the first time it is opened, KWin doesn't crash on following openings.

Please paste backtrace. Are you using compiz/beryl?

Last night I tried to upgrade to the next beta for Kubuntu, but it didn't work. However, this crash did not occur now, in Kontact or Kate. And no, I am not using a compositing manager.

No crash with BasKet (1.01) already running.
