Description Andrew Hunter 2007-03-30 04:35:51 UTC
Version: 0.4.0 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu13)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-13-generic

Keep gives this error when trying to run the backup:

Fatal error: Unable to create directory

This error occurs whether or not the chosen directory exists or not.

Do you have write, execute and read access on the directory that will store the backup?

Same problem backing up to Samba folder (smb://server/path...) even though I can create the same folder from the same machine Keep is running on. The error occurs whether or not the folder already exists.

Also, I noticed that the directory displayed in the error message contains only *one* slash after the protocol, i.e. smb:/server/path... Possibly this is a clue to the source of the bug?

The program "keep" is no longer maintained.
