Olivier, can you please check if this is a duplicate of bug 143225 ? Hi, Its seems to be related. My point was that the default printer of KDE should always be the same as the default printer of CUPS. That is, if you change the default printer in the KDE control panel, the contents of ~/.cups/lpoptions should also change automatically.
