It would be very useful to be able to add Kopete to the Summary view in Kontact, very much like the New Messages (kmail) section.  I would envision it to show online contacts, as well as new messages from them.  It would be great to have the option to pick and choose which contacts get displayed, as well as whether to show the full message received or just a notification that a message has arrived.

I'm sorry, this came through as a Crash, of course it should be Wishlist.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
