If I am using a tabbed window (as I prefer), and i have multiple tabs open, i have no way of telling if an inactive tab has delivered a message. It does not indicate typing, it does not flag the tab when unread messages are received, and it does not flash the inactive window/taskbar when it gets a new message. This is bad - it makes it hard to follow multiple conversations. It should color the tab to indicate typing/typed status and flash the window even for inactive tabs.

Also, the chat window is always titled after the active tab - maybe this makes sense, but it's still a bit confusing. Maybe something more indicative, like "Kopete (2 open chats)" would be in order?

Addendum - I was wrong about flashing the taskbar, it does that - everything else still holds.

Works for me. "Typing" status is indicated by green text in the tab, "message received" is indicated by red text

On further inspection this appears to be a bug in the style I was
using (Domino) - works fine with Lipstik. I guess i'll yell at them.
However, the secondary bug - that chat windows with multiple tabs only
show the active tab in the titlebar - still stands, though maybe
that's not important.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
