Addendum - I was wrong about flashing the taskbar, it does that - everything else still holds. Works for me. "Typing" status is indicated by green text in the tab, "message received" is indicated by red text On further inspection this appears to be a bug in the style I was using (Domino) - works fine with Lipstik. I guess i'll yell at them. However, the secondary bug - that chat windows with multiple tabs only show the active tab in the titlebar - still stands, though maybe that's not important.
