Version:           0.12.4 (using KDE 3.5.6 "release 31.3" , openSUSE )
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.2-34-default

it's confirmed on 3 mashines I own. THe yahoo icon goes gray and the only way to reconnect is to restart kopete

it's not even reconnecting , sometimes it does not connect on startup, the icon keeps jumping but nothing happens

Please paste the relevant debug output from the console. If there's no debug output when you run kopete from a konsole, install the debug-enabled kde packages from your distributor

I can confirm this.happened just after upgrading whole system to Kubuntu Feisty (Kopete and KDE were upgraded 1 month ago, there was no problem until I upgraded the rest of the system)

Im getting the 17- The Remote Host Closed the Connection Error.

I have induced a dropped connection on kopete svn 828863 (0.50.80) and it handled it fine.  I did so by unplugging my DSL router and back in.  I was able to reconnect once the connection was restored.  

I repeated the test on Kopete 0.12.7/KDE 3.5.9 and it also was functional.

Can the reporters/commenters please provide more precise information on how to induce this bug?  Thanks.

I get all sorts of random yahoo disconnects, but it always automatically reconnects. version .70.50 under 4.2.61

Also no further response, so closing. Please reopen if you find problems under the version that ships with 4.2, thanks!
