Hi! This is a wish I have for KDE 4.

Do you know Kshutdown?

Ok I would like to see kshutdown options in the KDE logout menu; what I mean is that I would like to have more options for the kde logout menu like set the time the computer have to turn off; or set the computer to turn off after an application finishes its task. 

I think this would be a great idea!

some "simple" timed/conditional shutdown is in kdm already (but not accessible from the kde session). the problem is, that this can be extended arbitrarily. therefore i think kdm & ksmserver should only offer some basic hooks and possibly provide some example scripts, but the actual functionality should be scriptable by the user.

KDM is unmaintained and not used in KDE Plasma 5.

SDDM is the login manager used in KDE Plasma 5. If you still have this same issue with SDDM, please file an issue on the SDDM bugtracker (after doing a search for existing issues first!): https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/
