This happens for me too, typically when I use the grep tool and have a / at the end of the search directory. We should clean up the URL when opening a file. *** Bug 153993 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** There is KUrl::cleanPath, the option SimplifyDirSeparators should fix this issue.
