It would be nice to be able to read a newsgroup without subscribing to it. This way one could visit e.g. the newsgroup of the local astronomy association before significant astronomical events without having to first subscribe to it, then read it and after that unsubscribe.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
