Free/Busy settings and failure |

Read the handbook. It explains a lot about free/busy information. The handbook is also available online at http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdepim/korganizer/free-busy.html I've read the Handbook but it doesn't explain anything more than Kolab setups, and I cannot seem to adopt those settings for either a local file, nor NFS mounts, nor for a samba mount. I have write permissions (full permissions) for everywhere to which I've tried to publish. Nothing tells me what file extension I should use; the handbook demonstrates .ifb but I have been successful reading other users' .vfb formats (from their Outlook installations). Yes I did try changing it to .ifb but it didn't solve anything. I've attached a screenshot if you can tell me what is wrong... Free/Busy settings and failure
This image shows my publishing information and the subsequent failure to create
a new appointment in my Free/Busy file
Sorry about the SPAM, Gmail was telling me that the letter wasn't being sent... apparently it was wrong... OK, I see what you mean now. Reopening. I do not know much about the topic myself though. Bug #141343 seems related. Well today everything seems to work just fine when publishing to a NFS-mounted share. I am going to close the bug for now and I will reopen it later if needed. For future readers, the screenshot is exactly how I have it set up under its currently-working settings; publishing a .vfb file to a NFS-mounted share. Don't ask what changed, I have no idea. Thomas, than you for the help! OK, there was a Tip (why not in the Handbook?) about using the ftp:// protocol, so I tried it with the fish:// protocol and it functioned perfectly. So that is a good start, but it should be documented somewhere... |
