I just got an HTML email with 75 image attachments. All of them were loaded (causing a delay) even though "Load attachments on demand" is checked. This is an IMAP connection to a Cyrus server. The HTML email i received is forwarding another email with the attachments. The images are attached like this: --Boundary_(ID_8KLixplhldrEPgiizaGejA) Content-type: image/jpeg; name=IMG_3570.jpg Content-transfer-encoding: base64 Content-disposition: attachment; filename=IMG_3570.jpg /9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQEAYABgAAD/4TuaRXhpZgAASUkqAAgAAAAKAA8BAgAGAAAAhgAAABABAgAb AAAAjAAAABIBAwABAAAAAAAAABoBBQABAAAAqAAAABsBBQABAAAAsAAAADEBAgALAAAAuAAAACgB ... Sorry, i thought this bug was for Kmail. bah Reassinging to akonadi, as that is the place this should be solved. Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists.
