Description Aaron 2007-02-25 00:54:52 UTC
Version: 4-svn (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: any
OS: OS X

On kde4/osx, it would be nice to see kdelibs use the native image support, rather than having to compile linux's set of image handling libraries, libjpeg, libgif, libtiff, libmng, libsvg, etc. These libraries tend not to always work nicely with osx, and arent included by default.

if you provide a patch, everything is possible.

patch at

http://chaos.troll.no/~harald/q7io/

:)

However, writing and image extensions are not implemented yet, feel free to extend it.

Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to get the QuickTime image decoders to read from a serial device, we have to fetch the entire stream into a buffer to start the decoding process. Any hint welcome :)

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
