Description Paolo Vaccari 2007-02-22 15:38:17 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-6 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-2-k7

I use IMAP resources (calendar, tasks and so on) with a disconnected IMAP account (on a Dovecot server). Resources folders are subfolders of the "MyMail" root folder.
Using italian as default language, KMail works well but complains about "permissions" problems or "already existing folders" and warns me about that at each synchronization (that is very very boring!). Moreover, I have under MyMail the special Calendar folder (in italian: "Calendario") with his nice icon, but also a normal folder with the same name (and the same content).
If I switch KDE to english language, all works well: I have no warnings and I see just a single Calendar folder.

This might be the same as bug #122531, but I am not sure.

KMail fails creating imap resource, german translation

Only the task ("Aufgabe" in german) subfolder fails.

I have the same error using the German version. I named the resource folder "Kontact", 5 subfolders where created automatically. Then I created subfolders of each. I can work fine with the calendar and contacts subfolders, only the task folder ("Aufgaben" in german) has this problem (cannot be created, permissions, already existing.
A screenshot of the german error dialog attached above.

I can create test items for every IMAP resource: task, note, journal. They also appear in KMail IMAP folder view like 1 iCal item per subfolder, so connection should be fine. Just the error message bothers every synch interval.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
