Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
OS:                Linux

It would be nice to be able to confine various Icons to  a specific desktop ie programs of one type  ham software to say desktop 4    office programs to desktop 3  , thereby creating a much more structured layout on the desktop 

I am as yet unable to find a way to accomplish this with KDE as it stands ..  i may be wrong ..

it's not possible as kdesktop shows ~/Desktop on all workspaces

Bug closed. Kdesktop is no more mantained.
