a statusbar in the mainwindow would be nice, so i can see how many images i have selected and other usefull informations.

Patrick,

Status bar on bottom of album gui is already implemented in svn. It wil be available for digiKam 0.9.1 release. Beta1 is planed to this week end.

The status bar :

- show current selection informations. 
- host the naviguate bar (instead the top of right sidebar).
- show a progress bar when a batch process is done on current selection (for example Assign Tags).
