I've got the same problem here. I bought a couple of DRM-free songs from iTunes but I cannot change any tags with Amarok (probably a libtag problem?). As a work-around I use easytag. From our README: * libmp4v2 (mpeg4ip 1.5 is recommended, faad2 is less reliable) (MP4/AAC tag reading & writing) http://www.sf.net/projects/mpeg4ip http://www.audiocoding.com So you see, Amarok must be built with libmp4v2 to gain AAC write support. Ask your favorite distro packager. * Arnout Boelens [Sun, 17 Jun 2007 08:57:18 -0400]: > With the version of Amarok in debian it is not possible to edit aac tags. If you'd like to see it uploaded rather sooner than later, and are a bit familiar with Debian packaging, you can help out by filling the missing bits of: % svn co svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-multimedia/uniways/mpeg4ip/ I think it's mostly the control and copyright files that need help. Mail your changes to Sam Hocevar <sam+deb@zoy.org>. Cheers, On Sunday 17 June 2007, Adeodato Simó wrote:

I just saw mpeg4ip is already packaged by Christian Marillat on
debian-multimedia.org. Would it be alright to use his control and copyright
files? I do know the general structure of a Debian package but I've never
actually made one myself.
Cheers,
Arnout
