Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.2-34-default

when I try to click on an email address KMail doesnt load!
Normally the address opens a new mail dialog.

Almost certainly a configuration issue. Look in control center->kde components->component chooser. What app is set as email client there? Does KMail work correctly apart from this issue?

Kmail is set as the default email client. The address link works in Konqueror. 
The problem seems to be only in firefox.

Firefox isn't a KDE app, so it doesn't obey KDE settings. You can ask for help in setting it up in one of your distribution's forums. Thanks!
