Description Giuseppe Bilotta 2007-01-25 21:31:01 UTC
Version: 0.10.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

One of the few features I miss in KNode is the option to suppress displaying of quoted text. This feature (usually associated with the hotkey 'Q') would replace long runs of quoted text (the minimum number of lines to suppress is usually configurable, and it should be so in Knode) with a text reading "[<num> quoted lines suppressed]"

For example:

> some initial quoted text
> some more quoted text
>> some doubly quoted text
>> some more doubly quoted text
> yet some quoted text
> some final quoted text

would become (with a 'min lines' setting of 3)

> some initial quoted text
>> [4 quoted lines suppressed]
> some final quoted text

This feature is particularly useful when browsing groups dwelled by people who aren't very selective in their reply and/or where long disgussions are kept for reference in the replies.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
