Sentry Crash Report:

Description Thomas Hammer 2000-10-29 20:03:52 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: 1.1.99 (KDE 2.0)
Severity: grave
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.2.16 i686 (compiled sources)

Replying to a html mail quotes the html source in the new mail. This is not usable at all.
Problem is the same as the already reproted problem with forwarding a html mail.

I suspect that the new KMMessage and KMMessagePart implementations have
fixed this by coincidence. You can try the patch at
http://www.staikos.on.ca/~staikos/kmmsg/ against the latest cvs code if you
like. I don't use HTML email anywhere but if you forward one to gs@0wned.org
I can test the patch myself too.

At least with the current CVS version if you select the text of the message
before hitting reply the html formatting is stripped out.
