I have checked on the bug list and see nothing exactly the same as this.  I am trying to add names to my address book from existing e-mails that I receive.  I usually right click on them and add them to the address book.  When I do it at the moment, it hangs Kontact and I have to kill it with system guard.  I don't think it is something I have configured.

Using Kmail 3.5.10 I've never had this type of problem. Actually KDE 4 still works fine. Would you like to check with a more updated kmail version?

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
