The "Use the folowing proxy configuration URL" settings entry box will be cleared if the following steps are performed.

1) In the proxy configuration panel select the "Use the following proxy configuration URL" radio button and enter something.
2) Click OK.
3) Go back to the proxy configuration panel and select the "Manually specify the proxy settings" radio button.
4) Click the Setup. . . button.
5) Enter something in the "HTTP:" box.
6) Click OK.
7) Click OK in the "Configure - Konqueror" dialog box.
8) Go back to the proxy configuration panel in Konqueror and notice that the "Use the following proxy configuration URL" text box is cleared out.

I expect the text box not to be cleared out or reset.  Interestingly this does not get reset if in Step 3 you choose the "Connect to the Internet directly" radio button.

Confirmed on svn r620k. I think it's a bug, but a minor one (rather than a wishlist).

This is a valid bug in KDE 4.x ; so I will try to fix this as part of the proxy overhaul for KDE 4.7.
