Hello!
I think, it would be great if Kopete would "draw" a smiley, if it is in a name.
So when I'm happy, my name would be:
muczy :) (drawed smiley)
instead of:
muczy : )
(I've pushed a space, to be understandable...)
This is the way, how msn messenger handles them.

My second idea is a filetransfer window, like in gaim.

You need to upgrade because at least Kopete 0.12.3 already does that.

the smileys are shown in the contactlist, but not in the chatwindow
(except when you change your name, sorta). personally I think this is
crazy, but other people really didn't want it to change.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
