many people use some shorter alias of my/your nick when the channel is  a little empty - only first four letters etc.... they dont need to write the whole nick and i can regognize it is pointed on me.

but if they write so, i dont have the panel hightlighted like someone has said my nick. it would be nice to have a list where i can specify aliases to my nick and konversation would act like it was my real nick.... better highlighting etc.

You can set up highlights in Settings -> Configure Konversation -> Notifications -> Highlights.
