Description Francesc Ortiz 2007-01-02 23:55:38 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Unlisted Binary Package
OS:                Linux

When you copy/move many files, kde is good because when a file can't be copied, it asks you if you want to skip, retry or stop.

It also has the autoskip feature, think that is confortable.

But it would be great that the auto-skip feature in the end showed a report that you can copy/paste of the files that couldn't be copied.

Thinking about it, it would be useful that when you drag something in konqueror and it shows the popup with copy/move/link/cancel it also had an option that says: "Advanced" or something similar, that opened a window giving you the chance of:

- action:
    * copy
    * move
- on complete:
    * do nothing
    * partial report: only report errors
    * full report: list of all processed files
- in case of error:
    * ask
    * autoskip
- if partial file is found:
    * copy again
    * resume
- copy with CRC check

This way, if there are 30.000 files to copy, you don't need to be in front of the computer just in case something happens.

Don't forget to also set the error report to appear automatically when the auto-skip option is selected from the standard dialog the now shows up.
