Description Tom Hardy 2007-01-02 20:27:47 UTC
Version: 0.9.3 (using KDE 3.4.3, Kubuntu Package 4:3.4.3-0ubuntu2.1 )
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-10-686-smp

I normally have knode set to reveal identifying headers such as User-Agent, X-Mailer, X-Newsreader, etc., and unusual headers such as Control, Distribution, Supercedes, etc.

My expectation, normally met, is that such headers will be displayed if and only if present.

Content-Type appears to be an exception. It is displayed if present, but if absent, knode generates a false header: "Content-Type: text/plain".

Such a header is not shown if you choose view all headers or view source, but only if you have "Content-Type" in the custom header display.

A lot of readers/mailers such as Outlook Express fail to generate a "Content-Type" header.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
