Description Carsten Pfeiffer 2007-01-01 17:16:18 UTC
Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-2-k7

It would be nice if the color picker would be some kind of "global tool", that works across documents. Currently it only forks for the current document -- as soon as you switch to another one, the mouse cursor switches to that document's active tool.

Also, it would be nice if the picker would be able to select colors not just from krita documents, but from all over X (all applications), just like the KDE color picker does.

Make that a wish instead of a bug.

I've enabled the default kde color dialog (accessed from the dual color button in the top toolbar), and that has the system-wide color picker enabled.

This is helpful but not a good fix to a nagging useability problem.
