Ah, I closed the info about missing writer, cancel the verify step and k3b crashed. I see various bug reports coming in from you and that's really appreciated. But please provide more details, your descriptions are often too short to do anything useful with it. Please keep that in mind. Back on this bug report: you should provide a backtrace of the crash. And does it happen everytime or did it only happen once or under certain circumstances? Thanks in advance. Bram, I would provide crash log of course, but this time was empty, so I didn't include it because probably it is useless. I have to recompile k3b I guess with debug info, but in the same time I am testing another issue. So in short -- I try to do my best, but I am simply overworked. For now, it happened once (as a side effect of testing burning issues in rc3). When I know anything more, I write again, that's for sure :-) Ok, I figured out what I omitted -- the background. I jumped from the last report and I assumed the background is obvious. DVDR, external USB writer. One big file -- 4 GB -- with UDF only. I repeated the test, now it is working, however with the crash k3b displayed info "verifying track 0", now when it is working it displays "verifying track 1". Maybe this will help. Any progress on this bug? Do you still have this problem with a newer version of k3b? Currently I am not able even to burn DVD discs anymore with k3b, so of course I cannot tell if verifying works. Closing this bug as no additional information has been provided for quite some time. Please re-open if you are able to reproduce the bug with current k3b. |
