(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: 3.0 (KDE 2.0)
Severity: wishlist
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.2.14 i686 (compiled sources)

The sort orders that can be set in "Text View" mode are quite constrained. I prefer in
general to have the same order that is chosen by "ls" which is without regard to the
file type (directory link or plain file) and also case sensitive. I can do that in the
"Icon View" mode through the "View" menu entry but this entry magically vanishes
when I switch to "Text View". The column headers in the "Text View" headers don't
allow me to disregard the file type when I select the sort order there.

I also would like to set this my preferred sort order globally (and not only on a
per-directory basis) and would like it to be remembered.

Thank you
-erik

I still would like to have this as of KDE 3.2.2.

Merging to the one w/votes, although it doesn't have such a depressingly low number...
