Version:           3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (dapper) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu1~dapper2)
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-27-686

Connecting to IRS web site https://www.eftpssouth.com causes the error

An error occurred while loading https://www.eftpssouth.com:
Could not connect to host www.eftpssouth.com.

to be shown.  I can connect connect with Firefox.

I have tried setting the Browser Identification to many things, but still no luck.

Same behaviour on r607234. Can't see anything obvious in the kio_http_debug output. Reassigning to kio_http, since the same problem occurs with (say) 'kate thatURL'

confirmed with 3.5.5 current; Probably it has something to do with https (encryption)
