Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2006-12-04 21:49:23 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.2" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.16.13-4-default

Hi!

IMHO it is necessary to "enable interval mail checking" to get contacts and calender synced.

(I was setting up Kolab-contacts from one kmail-workstation and was surprised not to see them on the second)

The text "enable interval mail checking" is a bit missleading, because without technical background contacts and events are NOT associated with "mail".

For Kolab (and dimap?) this entry should be changed to
"enable Kolab syncing" (if I understand correctly what happens).

As far as I'm aware, KDE 4.8 or later automatically synchronizes groupware folder contents that are changed locally, and a default interval for checking has been set by default as well.

Please feel free to reopen this issue if KDE 4.8 still does not show the desired behaviour.
