Related to #17755, but since that bug report also talks about konsole speed and has been closed because the speed issue was perceived to be probably fixed, reporting a new bug.

It would be nice to have an option to disable blinking text. XTerm has the option showBlinkAsBold, which is quite nice. Also it has an option to show blinking text in some color (colorBL(Mode)?). I would be very satisfied with just an option to disable the blinking, however :-).

Yes, I can see why this would be useful.  Although I cannot actually name any applications which have blinking text.

Implemented in KDE 4.
